Who I am

I'm Nicole. Born to a Portuguese mother and a German father, I've called Portugal home since I was a year old.

Growing up, I embraced my German heritage while living in the vibrant culture of Portugal...

My debut album, Vampires, was released in 2007 and featured the talents of violinist Viviena Tupikova and bassist Zeca Neves. In 2009, I had the honor of performing alongside Suzanne Vega at Olga Cadaval in Sintra and participated in the SXSW Festival in Texas. At SXSW, I won first prize, earning the incredible opportunity to record at the iconic Sun Studios in Memphis, where Elvis Presley once recorded.

In 2011, I released my second album, I Am You, and opened for Joan As Police Woman on her Portugal tour. That year, I won the Midem Off Showcase Competition (fan vote) and performed in Cannes. My song 'Witness of Your Life' won the International SongDoor Songwriting Competition (USA) in the 'Pop Songs' category and reached the semi-finals of the UK Songwriting Contest in 2012. I also opened for Perry Blake in Lisbon.

I was invited by Mazgani to sing alongside him and opened for Jigsaw and Rodrigo Leão.

In 2012, I formed 'Nicole Eitner and The Citizens' with Alexandre Frazão, Miguel Menezes, and João Gomes, launching a successful crowdfunding campaign. Our third album, Fade To Shade, was released in 2015. We performed at Casa da Música in Porto, Arcos de Valdevez, and festivals like Misty Fest, Festas do Mar, and Paredes de Coura.

My favorite stage will always be Sala Nietzsche at Fábrica Braço de Prata in Lisbon. For 17 years, I have connected with my audience through thematic concerts, both solo and with guest performers.

Now, with a new home in Geneva, I am eagerly seeking a harmonious new challenge!
